Scientific Argumentation Profile of Senior High School Students

This study aimed to describe students' scientific argumentation at the senior high school level. used a descriptive method and test assess of 49 students, consisting eight questions from two themes. We four components argumentation: ability make claims warrants, construct counterarguments, generate supportive arguments, student's evidence Lin Mintzes (2010). quantified qualitative data answers analyzed using statistics. The results showed that students was 33% in good category, 31% satisfactory 22% need improvement 14% unsatisfactory category. For each component, 95% can 54% have 48% 98% evidence. So, teacher needs improve literacy so give argument with references.
